Ms Ng holds a BA in English, First Class Honour, and Master of Philosophy (Literary Studies) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During her undergraduate years, she also minored in Gender Studies. Her research interests include gender representation in literature, postmodernism in children’s literature and post-colonial discourse in literature. In her postgraduate studies, she focused on the research about how writers from three different ex-colonised places (Colombia, India and Hong Kong) manipulated post-colonial counter discourse to construct historical representation and cultural identity. For most of her career, she has been coaching secondary and tertiary students in the English language, English for Effective Communication, English for Academic Purposes and English for Business Communication.
