Good Preparation for Post-Graduate Study

Now a postgraduate student in Linguistics, I found my interest in Language early on during my undergraduate studies in HSUHK. The courses were interesting and the topics in linguistics were closely related to our daily use of language. This drew my attention and made me curious to explore more. The professors were patient and eager to help when we had questions. These courses prepared the groundwork for my current studies as they introduced the major concepts of various fields of linguistics. I found it easier to understand new but related concepts discussed in postgraduate linguistics courses. I am proud of being an English major. I am also so grateful for what I have learnt and experienced in the past 4 years.
