BA-ENG student is a Highly Commended Entrant of the Global Undergraduate Awards 2020

Ms Choi Wai Ming Lorraine, our Year 4 student 2019/20 has been selected as a Highly Commended Entrant of the Global Undergraduate Awards 2020 in the Literature Category for her Senior Project, ‘’The Death of Chivalry: A Corpus Linguistics Study on Arthurian Legends‘.

The Global Undergraduate Awards is the world’s leading undergraduate academic awards programme which recognises outstanding undergraduate work and shares it with a global audience. With 4,148 submissions  from undergraduates in 380 institutions from 50 countries to The Global Undergraduate Awards this year, this is a truly remarkable achievement.

It is heartening to see Lorraine’s name alongside with students coming from the world’s top universities including King’s College London, Australian National University and National University of Singapore and she is the only Hong Kong student receiving this award in the Literature category.

This is the kind of news truly worth circulating to all staff and students. Three cheers also for Catherine, who has spent countless days and nights mentoring Lorraine. All your unreserved hard work (a lot of it probably carried out via Whatsapp beyond office hours) paid off. Well done, team!
