Dr Ken Lau Shared Research Findings in HSUHK English Lecture Series

More than 30 students and staff members attended the first seminar of the HSUHK English Lecture Series on 2 September 2021, where Dr Ken Lau, Senior Lecturer from the Centre for Applied English Studies, The University of Hong Kong, shared his findings on the topic Unpacking Criticality: A Text-Informed Inquiry.

Dr Lau introduced his research and explained the implication it might have to the teaching engagement resources by attempting textually reify ‘criticality’ as exemplified in written reflection completed by a group of Hong Kong undergraduate students for an out-of-class learning component of an ESP course.

This lecture provided useful information on English Language Teaching and was well-received by teachers and students.
